Welcome to Stargate: Andromeda Station. S:AS is the reincarnation of the roleplaying group Stargate Command: Cheyenne Mountain, which was set in a timeline where the SGC had been suddenly shut down years before, with all it's major technologies classified and put into storage. The RP was about the sudden re-opening of Stargate Command following the impeding disaster of a new Goa'uld which had risen in the absense of human interference in the galaxy.

Now, SGC:CM has been reincarnated with a new story line, and a whole new location. Stargate Command, being run by General Hank Landry, has deciphered various pieces of ancient texts, which have led them to discover a new Stargate address - in the Andromeda Galaxy. The IOA - not wanting to make what they thought was a 'mistake' again by putting a civilian in charge of the mission, have taken 4-star General Keith Kavik, and placed him in command of the expedition. The primary personnel to be sent over with the General are military and research personnel, with the potential of civilians to follow.

But what would a new Stargate universe be without a new nemesis to add some adventure? The Nereak are the Centaurs of mythological Earth, forced out of the Milky-Way Galaxy for reasons long forgotten, and now all that is left of their known history is their deep hatred of humans, and they have spent generations senselessly attacking those placed in the Andromeda Galaxy by the Ancients. It won't be long before the Andromeda Expedition discover these hateful beings and their history...
